Local pharma “teenagers” snap at “old-timers”

Russian pharma manufacturers reiterated that they intended to stand up for their right to the preferences being developed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade as they considered such preferences an adequate competition rather than overprotection. To this end, they united under the auspices of the EAEU Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers to bust the myths that were, in their opinion, being floated by the AIPM, ARPM, and Inpharma in a trust-like manner. In turn, representatives of the latter associations took fix-up accusations ironically.

MoH does not consider pharmaceutical insurance a 2017 priority issue

On April 12^th, the Russian MoH’s annual Board meeting was held to sum up the 2016 results and set targets for 2017. The key speaker at such meetings is the health minister. The minister’s speech is a message of the kind to all healthcare workers regarding the emphasis of the government health policy for a specific year. This year, Health Minister Veronica Skvortsova put much emphasis on resource-saving methods and changes to this end, including drug coverage. However, she said nothing about pharmaceutical insurance.

Logistic companies disclose their expectations in respect of pharma

The logistic operators segment on the pharma market has been growing, which is indicative of several trends, e.g. Russian pharma manufacture growth, and pharmacy chain aggregation. Regional pharma distributors have stepped up their businesses in Moscow region as well. Pharmaceutical logistics leaders speak about trends important for the segment overall.
